Rawfood Central Support Staff

Gemedy Campos- Rawfood Central Coordinator & Event Planner

Gemedy helps to keep on top of ads, newsletters, events and Kathryn for RFC.

Gemedy is passionate about the success of Rawfood Central.

She focuses daily on communicating the message and intention of Rawfood Central. Gem believes there are many in our external community seeking to take more responsibility for their own health management and that they’ll be thrilled when they discover the unique opportunity RFC provides them. “Once anyone tries Kathryn’s marinated raw kale salad and to-die-for raw cacao goji berry chocolates, they’ll want to have more and that’s what we’re here for.”

This is the second time Gemedy and Kathryn have worked together and it's fun as ever.

Gemedy is also a brilliant event planner for corporate meetings and concert/theatrical events, available for part time contracting.

RFC’s professionalism and ever increasing list of loyal clients is a tribute to her gracious manner, organization skills, and diligent deadline managing.

Elise Douglas - Operations Manager

Elise holds responsibility for coordinating kitchen matters, planning and work assignments. While being bilingual, Elise handles production issues while evolving into a Living Food artist extraordinaire. Elise provides incredible joy energy and spirit to our community! At RFC she does well as the primary instructor for the 1b Soaking and Sprouting Class. You will see her fill in ably at any task.

Elise has previous kitchen experience, which added to her quick mind has made her transition to living food preparation efficient.

Elise has a BA from SSU in Spanish Language and is certified in massage by the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Body workers. Elise is greatly inspired by bodywork - which has attracted her to exploring the healing qualities of Raw Vegan food.  She offers massage at RFC as a diversion from her long hours in our teaching kitchen. Call to schedule a session. Elise is great at creative application of color, image, and movement. You’ll see this exemplified in the finishing touches on our foods and in the homey atmosphere at RFC.

After living in Mexico, Costa Rica, and both North American coasts, Elise is happy to nest in Northern California and loves to help others do the same.  On Saturdays or Sundays you may find her dancing in the Farmers’ Market aisles!

Megan Cadigan - Live Food Intern

Megan Cadigan, wife to Albert, and mother of two vibrant and exceptional children, Hannah and Lucas, is our juice, salad, and dessert master.  Starting in January 2008, Megan is RFC’s first Living Foods Creativity Intern. She has embraced the principles of raw food preparation with ease. In addition to the frequent click of her needles knitting hemp kitchen items, her busy hands are usually: full of dough for bread or crackers; preparing “mis en place” for a class or packaging items for the market.

Megan has a strong sensitivity to her environment. We learn much from her keen observations.

Megan’s current intention is to create balance in her life in order to best support her family and community.  She is doing this through gradually introducing vegan/living/healthy foods, to her children, husband, mother, and extended family.

Megan’s study of astrology and her strong intuitive sense benefit us daily.  You can find her hand knit, hemp and cotton creations at our farmers’ market booth (dish cloths and such).  We really LOVE having her here!

Internships available: If you have interest in becoming a work/trade Intern, Megan welcomes help! She has become a knowledgeable and patient collaborator. Please contact us if interested.

Joshua Vermont Conklin - Special Project Chef

Trained at The Tree of Life Rejuvenation Center, Joshua has a natural inquisitively in nutrition and alternative food science. We treasure his time with us and wish him well in his move to Fairfax.

While everyone in small business needs to be flexible and wear many hats, Gemedy, Megan, Elise,  Joshua, and Kathryn share a heartfelt connection to each other and the community of Servant Learners we have engaged in our mission to instruct and heal ourselves and the planet.

We are all inspired and wish the same for you.
